Sales Operations Analyst

About this role

This role is responsible for driving sales performance through data-driven insights, process optimization, and strategic alignment of business tools and technology. The position partners closely with sales leadership, brokers, and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, improve CRM effectiveness, and support revenue growth initiatives. The individual analyzes sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, while developing and implementing standardized processes that ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence. Acting as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, this role leads CRM strategy, enhancements, reporting, and training to ensure alignment with evolving sales objectives and industry best practices. Additionally, the role supports broker and employer engagement through events, credentialing, and issue resolution, while maintaining strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders. The position also identifies automation opportunities and delivers innovative solutions to streamline workflows and improve performance. Overall, this role plays a critical part in enabling sales success by combining analytics, technology, and operational leadership to drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and analyzes sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to align business tools and optimize sales strategies and objectives
  • Develops, communicates, and implements sales and broker processes and procedures to optimize operations, eliminate inefficiencies, and support sales team staff
  • Ensures processes remain relevant, accurate, and compliant with repository policies and all applicable regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Accountable for providing solutions and resolving employer group issues through research and collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Ensures the integrity of the CRM tool and alignment with business requirements and sales strategies
  • Analyzes CRM capabilities in relation to industry trends and sales needs
  • Serves as the primary lead in working with CRM developers to communicate requirements and build solutions
  • Oversees testing and successful migration of enhancements, bug fixes, and other updates
  • Provides sales management and teams with reports to track, plan, forecast, and measure business performance
  • Acts as the lead trainer for the CRM tool
  • Analyzes technology needs and task automation opportunities, providing recommendations to improve performance
  • Supports sales team members in events such as group benefit presentations, educational sessions, health fairs, and AEP activities
  • Acts as a liaison between sales teams and sales leadership, providing communication, training, and support
  • Provides backup support to Broker Services Coordinator and Sales Support operations team members
  • Assists with broker credentialing, compensation reporting, analysis, investigation, and training
  • Manages lead events that support organizational presence in community events and sponsorships
  • Delivers accountable, high-quality service while building strong relationships with internal and external customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, business analysis, or CRM management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends and insights
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar)
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience designing and implementing sales processes, workflows, and operational improvements
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within sales or insurance/broker environments
